Easy refilling with detachable water tank

The detachable water tank makes it easy to fill with fresh water directly from the faucet. With a capacity of 42 oz and clear dosing recommendations, it's easy to achieve the right coffee-to-water ratio.

Pump technology for fresh water

Fresh water is one of the most important ingredients for good coffee. Our pump technology completely empties the water system after every brew, ensuring your coffee is always brewed with fresh, oxygen-rich water.

With coffee makers that don’t have pump technology, up to 5 oz of water can remain in the system after brewing, which can noticeably affect the coffee’s taste. If you already have a coffee maker at home, you can easily check this by turning it upside down over the sink after brewing.

Perfect brewing temperature

Zense features an advanced brewing system that delivers hot water at the right temperature for optimal extraction throughout the brewing process. It maintains a brewing temperature of 198–205 °F from the first to the last drop, helping you achieve a great cup of coffee every time.

Drip stop and adjustable flow control

The adjustable flow control lets you control how quickly the water passes through the coffee grounds, helping you fine-tune the contact time for different brew sizes. This makes it easy to brew a single cup with the same balanced result as a full carafe.

You can also use the same control to pause the brewing process at any time by moving it to the drip stop position.

Right coffee-to-water ratio

Use the measuring guide on the water tank to get the recommended coffee-to-water ratio for every brew.

Warming plate with automatic shutoff

Zense keeps your coffee warm after brewing with a warming plate that automatically shuts off after 40 minutes.

Cleaning indicator for easy maintenance

When it's time for cleaning, the coffee maker will remind you by slowly pulsing the start/stop button, making it easy to keep your brewer in top condition.

Tips for better coffee

• Rinse the coffee filter with water before brewing to remove any unwanted paper taste.
• Always use fresh coffee. For the best results, use freshly ground coffee. Ground coffee quickly loses its aromas, so grinding the beans just before brewing helps preserve more of their flavor and aroma.
• If you want even hotter coffee, rinse the glass carafe with hot water before brewing. This is especially recommended when brewing 17 oz of coffee or less.
• If the coffee maker has not been used for a while, we recommend running a brewing cycle with clean water before use.
• Coffee residue naturally builds up on parts that come into contact with coffee. For the best coffee flavor, regularly clean the filter holder, carafe, and carafe lid.
• Do not use the coffee carafe to fill the water tank, as coffee residue can affect the taste and quality of the brewed coffee.
